Wakeel

What we collect, and what we do with it

The website collects almost nothing, and only what you type in yourself. Signing in with Google or Microsoft, or connecting a mailbox or calendar to Wakeel, is covered below. How the product keeps and protects the rest of your business's data is on the security page.

The demo form

Your name, email address, the business you named and your message. We store it so we can reply, and email it to the people who will. We do not keep your IP address.

Cookies

None. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Your language is part of the page address, which is why it is kept when you share a link.

What is loaded from elsewhere

Our fonts are served from our own servers, not Google's. The only thing loaded from another company is Cloudflare's spam check, only on the demo form, and only where it is switched on.

Signing in with Google or Microsoft

We receive your name and email address, and use them to create your Wakeel account and to recognise you when you come back. Signing in asks for nothing else.

Connecting a Google or Microsoft account

A workspace admin can connect the business's mailbox, calendar and spreadsheets so its AI employees can work with them. Only what the admin ticks is asked for: reading mail, to answer it and to find what a task needs; saving drafts and sending mail; checking availability and adding events; and adding rows to spreadsheets Wakeel itself creates - it cannot open your other files.

How that data is used

Only to do the work your business set its employees up to do. The mail and events an employee works on are stored in your workspace, with the conversation or task they belong to, where no other business can reach them. To write an answer, the relevant part is sent to our AI service, Microsoft Azure OpenAI, which does not use it to train its models. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train or improve AI models - ours or anyone else's. Wakeel's staff do not read it, and our staff console is built so that it cannot; the exceptions are when you ask us to look into a problem, to investigate abuse or a security incident, or when the law requires it.

Disconnecting, and having it deleted

Disconnect an account on the Connections page and we revoke Wakeel's access and destroy the stored key at once; you can also remove Wakeel from your Google or Microsoft account's security settings. To have what was already stored deleted, delete it in the console or email us and we will.

Google's rules

Wakeel's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Having it deleted

Email us and we will delete what the form holds about you, and anything that came from an account you signed in with or connected.
